Wild Boar Reserve provides a challenging hunting of true German wild boar that originates from the Black Forest, Germany.  German wild boar grow to a maximum of about 250 lb.  They spend most of their time foraging, rooting for food and fighting.  Wild boar live in groups with a hierarchy system.  There are often battles when a young wild boar challenges the rank of his or her superior.  Older male wild boar usually live solitary lives except during breeding season when they seek out a herd of female wild boar. A mature male develops an extra plate of hard cartilage over the shoulder area as protection against a challengers tusks.  This shield can actually stop an arrow. P.S. Lost Acres Ranch Louisiana

Lost Acres Ranch consists of 300 private acres. Surrounded by woodlands and bordered by Greens Creek and is owned and operated by Billie Ann, and Joe Norman. Nine years ago, we began to allow hunting to the public due to numerous requests from friends for a chance at a trophy boar. Since then, a limited number of hunts have been conducted every season with 98% or better success rates. This is possible by restricting the number of hunts and rotation of hunting sites to prevent hogs from becoming gun-shy and nocturnal. Hunts are conducted from ground blinds or tree stands over bedding areas, water holes, or active bait sites using automatic feeders. Every effort is made to provide hunters with an exciting and memorable hunt.
