HUNTING: Bear
|
Our spring bear Hunts Over Bait run from May 15th thru June 30th. These hunts are based from our modern log lodge. The lodge has all the modern conveniences and serves the best food in the backcountry. Our success rate on bear is very high with a very good chance of getting a color phase. We take 40% black and 60% chocolate, cinnamon or blond color phase. We are hunting in units 19 & 20 in the Selway Zone that has a two bear limit. Units 19 & 20 are also reduced tag units so a non-resident tag is only $31.75 each. These are great hunts for couples or father & sons or daughters. We can also accommodate a person that can't take a physically strenuous hunt or has limited mobility. |

Our hunts are high quality, one-on-one and low volume which ensures you an Alaskan Hunting Adventure of a Lifetime! We hunt trophy brown bears in the beautiful Wood-Tichik State Park, which is the largest state park in North America. Our moose hunts take place in Wood-Tikchick State Park and along the Nushagak River. Dall Sheep hunts take place in the coveted 14C Drawing area. |

Remote Northern Saskatchewan - always known as one of, if not the best Black Bear hunting destinations. In 2009 we opened still more territory adjoining this area...never before hunted. Another rare chance to be on the ground floor of this area - you can be one of the first. |

We're providing more detail on this brown bear hunt as brown bear hunting is the least understood of any other big game hunts. Alaska brown bear hunting is by snow machine and snowshoes, in late March and early April. The Alaska weather on these spring brown hunts is usually very goodñ and we are getting long Alaska days like 20 hours of daylight in May. As the snow goes away, the brown bear hunting is on foot and hip boots are required. |
