Guided Alaskan Brown Bear Hunts

Brown Bear hunts run both spring and fall.   Our spring bear hunts start in April when the bigger bears are the first to emerge from the dens. This is an excellent time to get a bear- there is still a lot of snow, making bears easier to spot and track. Their hide is at its prime and they have the longest claws they will have all year.  Most spring hunting is done from snowshoes-and/-or-snow    machine.  Fall Brown Bear hunts start around the first of September and go through the end of November.  The bears are on the salmon that are running up the rivers, and there are berries on the mountains. We generally see a lot of bear and have good success.  Fall hunts also give you an opportunity to hunt other game, for   combo hunts with Dall Sheep, Moose, Mountain Goat and Black Bear.  You can also fish for salmon.

Burntwood River Bear Adventures

 Full service hunts provided in spring & fall for trophy black bears in the Thompson Area      ( Northern Manitoba, Canada ) with your preference of Bow, Rifle, Black powder or Camera.
     Our Hunting area has never been hunted by another outfitter and we are situated 40 air miles northeast of Thompson, on the Burntwood River. You can sit on the deck enjoying your coffee or a cool one and watch bears working the bait 700 yards across the river.
     Our hunting tactics are primarily over active baits and the stands are large, roomy and within easy bow range of ( 15 - 20 yards ).
